1) Classification society DNV added 66 LNG-powered ships, mostly container vessels, to its Alternative Fuels Insight platform in October. The strong momentum continues following orders for 111 LNG-powered vessels in July-September.

2) Energy behemoth Aramco is working to build further its LNG positions that give the company access to LNG offtake, according to executive vice president and CFO Ziad Al-Murshed.

3) Glenfarne Group’s Texas LNG has selected Kiewit to lead the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of its planned 4 mtpa LNG export terminal in the port of Brownsville.

4) UAE’s Adnoc has signed a sales and purchase agreement with German gas importer Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) to supply the latter with liquefied natural gas from its LNG terminal in Al Ruwais.

5) Japan’s shipping giant NYK reported steady earnings for its large fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers in the first half of fiscal 2024.
