According to Latsco LNG Marine Management, the deal includes spare parts provision and servicing of the auxiliary engines of its two LNG carriers, Hellas Diana and Hellas Athina.
The firm said in a social media post that it is already using digital control solutions (HiEMS) developed by HD-HMS, previously known as Hyundai Global Service, to monitor and analyze status/alarms of the auxiliary engines.
“This maintenance agreement is coming on top to ensure the maximum reliability and optimum performance of the equipment,” it said.
Latsco LNG Marine Management did not provide further details.
Back in 2021, Latsco LNG Marine Management and Finland’s Wartsila signed a five-year maintenance deal for these two LNG carriers.
This agreement covers the main engines for the two 174,000-cbm LNG carriers.
Both of the newbuilds feature WinGD’s dual-fuel X-DF engines and GTT’s Mark III Flex containment system.
In 2021, Latsco took delivery of both of these 297 meters long and 46 meters wide LNG carriers from South Korea’s HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
The Greek firm first welcomed Hellas Diana, the first LNG carrier in its fleet, followed by the delivery of Hellas Athina.
Hellas Diana recently delivered the first commercial LNG cargo to the Deutsche ReGas-operated LNG terminal in the German port of Mukran, which features two FSRUs.
This is said to be the “first triple banking operation.”
Both of Lasco’s LNG carriers are working under charter deals with energy trader Trafigura.
