Greek dry bulk owner Globus Maritime has struck a sale and leaseback deal for one of its recently delivered vessels.

The Nasdaq-listed company said it had sold its ultramax Glbs Magic to a Japanese buyer for $25m in December and chartered the 2024-built bulker back for 10 years.

Globus has options to buy back the 64,200 dwt vessel, kicking in three years after delivery to the new owner and a $15.4m purchase obligation at the end of the bareboat charter.

The Athanasios Feidakis-led outfit counts 10 ships in its fleet, consisting of six kamsarmaxes, three ultramaxes, and one supramax bulker. The company added a pair of kamsarmaxes in October in a $54m deal with its chairman, Georgios Feidakis.
