Norwegian offshore seismic vessel player Shearwater Geoservices has secured work off the east coast of India.
The company said Tuesday it had received a letter of award from ONGC for a large 3D seismic survey.
The 2011-built Oceanic Sirius will be utilised for the survey, covering an area of about 2,200 sq km. The work, commencing early 2025 is expected to take around four months.
Shearwater, which has been operating in India for eight consecutive seasons, has not disclosed the deal’s financial details.
